Desktop Client Download
Some web applications are not accessible outside a company VPN or are hosted on a local machine (for example, localhost apps, internal staging environments, or intranet-only tools). These apps cannot be reached through the browser-based BlinqIO platform.
For these cases, we provide a desktop client version of BlinqIO that you can install on your local machine. The desktop client runs locally, so it can reach any web application available to your machine — including localhost apps and any web app behind your company's VPN.
When to use the desktop client
Use the desktop client when:
- The application under test is only reachable from inside your company VPN
- The application is running on
localhostor another local address - You need to test an internal app that the cloud platform cannot reach
For publicly accessible web apps, the browser-based BlinqIO platform is the recommended option.
